Microsoft-Support ends for Windows 2000  – time to switch to linux

on july 13th 2010 the extended support for the Microsoft Windows 2000 product family will end. Affected products are Windows 2000 Server und Windows 2000 Professional. After this date Microsoft will no longer offer secruity related patches. Users might only access "Online-Selfservice-Ressources" at the companies website onwards. 

It is a good time to evauluate compareable Linux and Open Source solutions to prevent expensive porduct upgrades within the Microsofts product portfolio.
